8/31 E-Mail from Secretary Toni   Hi Everyone,  The kids should  have brought home 5 car wash tickets. They're $5 each. The car wash is rain or shine on Saturday 9/4/2010 30am-3pm at Advanced Auto Parts on Montauk Hwy and Wellwood Ave . The kids are asked to donate their time and participate in the washing of the cars. Please sell the tickets and bring money on the day of the car wash. It's really important for everyone to participate in these fund raisers. The Band Parent Association Is funding a lot of this year props and costumes and even with the parents donating all the labor the materials are costly.

Hi Everyone,   A week long band camp is staring Monday 23  starting  at 8:30am at the middle school. It's suppose to rain tomorrow so they work inside the school. Monday is supposed to be a late night practice it could to 9:00pm. This is subject to change. Please have your child bring food and drink  and or money. They are dismissed for lunch and can go along Wellwood Ave for food. They should have hats and suntan lotion for the sunny days. It's a long week and they will be tired and cranky. They also have a lot of fun with the seniors sponsoring the freshman. On Friday they invite the parents to come view the show for the first time.  Toni      
8/14 E-Mail from Secretary Toni Hello - In Band Camp week, your child(ren) will be coming home with the Lottery Raffle.  This is an fundraiser for the 3 Scholarships that are given out every year to 3 seniors going on to college. 
This raffle will run in the month of November.  It is based on the evening drawing of the NYS Lottery Numbers game.  If the number you have on your raffle ticket is the number that is drawn, you win!  Depending on the day, it could either be $25 or $50!  The raffle lasts all month and is only $5 to enter.   
We ask each band participant to sell at least 10 tickets.  Make sure your children try to sell them at all the Labor Day get-togethers, and other family parties! 
If you have a particular 'lucky' number and want that to be your ticket number, please e-mail me at MAllen8419@aol.com and let me know your:

Hi Everyone,
We need help sizing uniforms, if you are available Thursday 8/12   during mini band camp please  contact Dottie Ahl.    
If anyone can volunteer some time on any day for the week of band camp the 23rd  to 27th  at the Middle School. Please contact Dottie  Ahl at  
Dottie and Jim Ahl will be chairing our home show  on Oct 9th if anyone would like to take a active role in the planning please contact them. This is a big undertaking and we need a lot of help.      
Mr Pike still only has a tentative schedule for the new season it will be going up on the web site LindyMarchingBand.com.
The kids should have given you a permission slip for the Ducks Game. Each ticket is $11.  If you would like to purchase extra tickets its on a first come first serve basis. Make checks out to Band Parent Association. All money  and forms go to Mr Pike.

7/20  E-Mail from Secretary Toni 
 The home show will be on 10/09/2010. We will need every ones help on the day of show. We need people to be in charge of  the event . We need  coordinator's  for  the event examples   hospitality  room, Judge's  room, collect entrance  fees ,food handlers, raffles, 50/50, security, parking the buses and more.
We have started our chaperone list for band camp. We need at least two parents to watch over the kids each day. Whatever time or day you are available 8/23 - 8/27 usually 8:30 - 5:00.  
We are going to be starting our fundraising.
Our Band Parent meetings will  be on the second Tuesday of every month at 7:30.
We have started to work on the flags. If any one would like to help with the cutting or sewing of flags please contact Donna Triolo   donna692@optonline.net. There are a lot of flags to sew. The sashes are also going to  be covered if you can help sew contact  Melissa Wenzel  Kemma4@optonline.net .
Marianne Meloro is putting together the peacock plumes and  will need help to assemble them. If you have
dry cleaning hangers please save them, the wire is perfect for the plumes.

7/11 E-Mail from Secretary Toni  Hi Everyone,   I have not  heard back from Anthony on whether or not he can make our Thursday night meeting. The color guard practice on Thursday ends earlier then the rest of the bands. Monday  is color guards only late night practice. I know two meeting in one week is a pain in the neck but Anthony being MIA leaves me to believe he would like to see sewers and designs on Monday in auditorium at 7:30.  Victor has also sent out flyers for this Thursday night for our regular band parent meeting. 
  I have deleted the senior parents from my address book but if I missed someone that does not want my e mails just let me know.  Toni     

7/7 E-Mail from Secretary Toni  Hi Everyone,  Anthony has asked  me to send out an e mail to those who are doing the sewing and costume adjustments( hat, sash, cape, flags) to get  together to discuss it in more detail. He would like to get an update on these projects. He would appreciate if you could bring your ideas and samples up to the High School on Monday July 12   7:30 -8:30 pm. Anyone who would like to help with the cutting and sewing or any of the projects please come to this meeting so we can work out when and where we can work on them.  We can meet in the auditorium.
